Our quarantine facility is located 20 minutes from Kentucky Horse Park. We have a total of 10 stalls available for quarantine mares. The mares will get individual turn out in our beautiful pastures that have automatic waters. We also offer a polytrack footing arena available if you would like to continue your horses training while in quarantine.
Upon arrival:
Our state veterinarian will unseal trailer, examine and take pictures of your horse and start the quarantine process. Our professional staff lives on the farm and 24/7 care will be provided for your horse. We offer quarantine for the imported mares requiring testing for Contagious Equine Metritis (CEM). The required testing period for mares is approximately 14-21 days. Actual number of days is dependent on the actual date of arrival to the facility and federal and state holidays, if any, during the horse's stay. If additional charges accrue {e.g board ,farrier work, etc) we will notify the owner in advance and full payment must be made before the horse can be released from our facility. For more quarantine requirement details, visit the Kentucky Department of Agriculture Equine Programs.
